Meet Kathleen

Kathleen Choy has been a consulting actuary for the past 35 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree in secondary mathematics from the University of Hawaii. After teaching mathematics for 2 years in California, she returned to Hawaii to start a family and pursued a career change to the actuarial field. Her primary focus is the small and medium sized defined benefit and cash balance plans.

She is an Enrolled Actuary, a Member of the Society of Enrolled Actuaries, and a Member of the Academy of Actuaries.

In her spare time. she enjoys travel, spending time outdoors and socializing with family and friends.
